First Check-up

Ben has his first check-up yesterday morning and passed with flying colors. He's at the weight he was when he left the hospital so they said as long as he's back up to birth weight in a week or two he's fine. He has a slight bit of jaundice, but the doctor said that it was mostly receeding and only in his upper chest and a little in his face (which you can sort of tell in the photos). Ben is a very sleepy baby. I mean, he sleeps ALL the time! He usually has awake time in the morning and late evening and sleeps most of the rest of it unless he's eating (which he could do all day). But overall he's a pretty good baby and is only fussy when his diaper is being changed (you'd think we were torturing him the way he screams) and when he's hungry.

We spent the afternoon with mom visiting Papaw at the hospital and I'm planning on going back with mom either tomorrow or Friday to take some pictures while Papaw is still coherent. He keeps asking about the "little fisherman." He wasn't very with it while we were there yesterday and slept most of the time, which mom said is unusual for him. Hopefully it just means his body is fighting off the infection. I'll post some photos of them together once we do it!
