How Ironic
My friend Betsy was admiring Ben yesterday after church and we started talking babies. She said she had heard that we named him Benjamin, which I told her we did, but that we weren't sure if we were going to call him Benjamin or Ben. She told me that Benjamin is the name they have picked out for their son. I didn't even know she was pregnant! Turns out she's 4 months along and she's due on November 19. That's my birthday! I thought it was pretty ironic that she's having a son, naming him Benjamin AND he's due on my birthday. She told me to make sure to let her know if we decide to call him Benjamin or Ben and they'll call their son the opposite!
Oh, and Ben's umbilical cord fell off on Saturday. Yay for milestones! But, ew! I just realized that it's sitting on the desk in front of me because John didn't throw it away...
Are you talking about Betsy Rodriguez? Didn't she have a baby like, 2 or 3 years ago and had a horrible time with her pregnancy? Or do I have her mixed up with someone else?

No, you're right it was Betsy Rodriguez. Her last pregnancy was TERRIBLE, but she's 4 months along already and hasn't had one bit of trouble this time. We honestly didn't think they were going to have anymore kids after Samuel! (I think Samuel is really close to Tommy's age and JUST as active, we had to help her find him after church!)
I did not throw the umbilical cord away either... CJ ended up doing it when he found it. That is funny. :-) And, I think it is cool that you have a friend that is having a baby on your birthday with your sons same name. :-)
