American Idol-Week 3

Well it's hard to belive that another week has flown by so fast since I last posted about American Idol! It's almost Friday and that's such a good feeling! John was offended I was blogging about AI on OUR blog, but I told him that he must not read it very often or he would already have known that. :) Anyway. I wasn't super excited about this week. I'm glad next week is the LAST we'll have to hear of the really terrible stuff because it's getting old. And honestly, there weren't nearly as many memorable good singers the last two nights. And I thought it was very odd that on Day 2 of the LA auditions they showed no good singers and concentrated way too much time on that horrible blond guy. I don't really remember anyone from Tuesday night (oh, except the funny curly-haired kid, I sort of liked him). My pick from last night was Brandon Rogers. I thought he had a pretty good voice, though hearing it on the radio again this morning I wasn't AS impressed. And then I found out that he's the Brandon Rogers from the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning formed band, Sons of Harmony and I now, of course, am instantly rooting for him. Mandie, you'll know what I'm talking about! I knew there was something familiar about him and I was so super excited! My money is still on Melinda Doolittle at this point. I hope her nerves don't disappoint in Hollywood, but she had such control over her voice it was beautiful. And don't you think that the girl last night that Simon LOVED was actually quite terrible? She was so all over the place I was completely unimpressed. But what do I know? I'm not British!

It IS Brandon! Cool. I wonder if we still have the CD somewhere? It makes me mad that like 21 people made it through in Cali and they only showed like 5 of them. The girl Simon liked sucked. And Tuesday there was a good guy singer that was dead-on and Paula said she liked his tone but he was "pitcy" and couldn't stay in key... WHAT?! Just further supports the fact that she's crazy and not fit for the job. But she's so darn sweet....
