Sports Acrobatics

It's a slow day. Slow week this week, too, in fact. Now, in general, I'm prettty easily impressed by things, especially if it's something I know I'd never be able to do. I came across this video online and have to say I am now lamenting the fact that I get tired just from walking up the stairs to our house while carrying Ben and a purse and diaper bag. Granted, it's a long tall flight of stairs, but it's NOTHING compared to this! Watch the whole thing if you can. You will be amazed!

Okay... I have so many comments but the foremost one is, "Why would you choose to do this?" That is amazing! I have to say, though, that i was not impressed when there were guys doing the spotting... just seemed like glorified cheerleading. But when the chicks were spotting... wowee! They made the guys in the strongman competition look weak!

Yeah i don't think the guys In the strongman competition could hold up a 50lbs girl on there foot...

I told John he was being mean with his comment. I totally get what you're saying Randi. You definitely don't expect girls to be able to do that kind of thing! It's really cool!

Ah, so THIS is where they train to join Cirque du Soleil. ^_- Honestly, it's very, very cool, and I'm not surprised the little Chinese girls were so good at it (usually cirque has asian men and women doing the acrobatics), and WOW the size of the first Russian woman's thighs. Huge!

Natalie watched this with me and was in awe the whole time. I came out later that night to find her with her belly on top of keith's head trying to hold her arms and legs out! she now thinks this is something she wants to do. she is cracking us up with her poses.

I almost deleted the video from this post because it really bugs me that it's larger than the frame for my blog posts. I mean, it's really bugging me. But I think I'll just post one or two more and then I won't have to look at it again. Shannon, that's so cute about Natalie! I wouldn't be surprised if she could actually do some of the more simple moves because kids really are remarkably strong for how small they are! You'll have to take pictures if she keeps it up. :)
