Saturdays

My Saturdays for the past couple of months have been me and Ben all on our own. John has been helping out at the meat market his brother works at doing a normal 8 hour work day every Saturday. He gets $100 every time which is awesome! But despite that, I miss him being home since we don't exactly have a lot of time together since he is also in school. Well, since the meat market is waiting on a permit from the Health Department, John couldn't work today. So far it has been a really fun day! We woke up and I made my low-fat pancakes with sugar free syrup (not bad!) then we headed to the park to get in some exercise. We had to make it back to our car as quick as possible because the trek back on the trail meant Ben was in full sunlight and hated every minute of it. After that we cooled off in the pool and Ben had such a good time that he was trying to swim off on his own in the 3 ft pool. We're really proud of him. After lunch it was nap time and I was able to go do some grocery shopping while John stayed home and watched college football. I really don't know what I like better, college football or pro. It's a toss up! So we've just been hanging out most of the night, Ben is asleep, the Rangers are playing. It's been a nice day. Hopefully we'll have more Saturdays as a family soon!
