At the Pool
This morning I decided to make my official last Friday off of work more fun with Ben than we usually have. We've either been super busy or furiously packing to go out of town most of the Fridays we've had to hang out. I can't believe the summer is already gone! So I decided we'd go get snow cones (because of Ben's LOVE of ice) and then go to the pool. Well, snow cone stands aren't exactly open at 9:30 in the morning. I settled for slurpees! I got Cherry and Coke and got just Cherry for Ben. We headed back to the pool to take some pictures and to swim a little. Of course, swimming for Ben is really just a lot of sitting on the steps and running around the pool. He is terrified of being in the water. We're working on it! But we honestly don't go swimming all that often. We had fun! I planned on watching Enchanted when we got back home so we could watch it together and eat lunch before his nap but alas, I couldn't find it! (I was seriously disappointed because I've been listening to So Close on repeat for the past 3 days!)
Ben is in bed now since he woke up at 5:30am! I've got a bit of work to do and then this evening I'm headed to a photo class with my mom offered by her fancy schmancy financial advisor. I'll let you know if it was a total bust or not! In the meantime, here are some pics from our swimming fun. I love our pools because no one is ever there in the mornings! We love to sit in the pool and watch the planes fly overhead. It's always a great time!
Mmmmmm, that looks so refreshing. I would love to jump in a swimming poo right about now!
What a cute boy... he has a great smile. :-) I looks like fun and really nice after I just came in from the 102 degree heat.
Cute, cute, cute! He looks like such a big boy in those pictures! He does have an infectious smile! :)
Looks like Chrystal has a new contender for the title of "slurpee guru."
Some time i wonder where he gets it from I mean Look at that kid!
So cute! Great pics!
So cute! It looks like he didn't miss much fun by not actually swimming, though. Slurpees bring back memories, now I want one! And isn't it sad that "summer is over" yet we still have at least two months of ridiculously hot temperatures to look forward to?
What a fun mother/son playdate! Don't u just love alone time with your kid?! I want a slurpee too now! My latest addiction: cherry slush's from Sonic...yummmmmm!
Looks like fun. The girls love slurpees. Sorry you already have to go back to school.
