My Early Birthday

I'll preface that by saying that karma is evil because we had such a great weekend planned but it didn't all go exactly as planned. We did spend Halloween night at my sister's in Wylie so the kids could all trick-or-treat together and boy did they have fun! I'll post pics later. I'm too tired to do it right now!

We got home really late and when I woke up on Saturday morning I was so exhausted. Like more tired than I've been in a LONG time, and not feeling so well either. I went to Walmart with Ben to pick up some groceries and so John could wrap my present because he wanted to do an early birthday party for me. I put us out a little picnic in the living room and we ate a big sandwich and grapes and apples and I got to open my present! Yay! It was a 500GB mini external hard drive. And it's DEFINITELY something I need so bad! The two little 40GB hard drives we have just weren't cutting it. I am so excited. Thank you John!

We put Ben down for a nap and I started to feel even worse so I told John I thought I might have strep. Once you've had strep a few times you KNOW what it feels like to get it. So I headed off to the urgent care clinic in South Arlington because I didn't want to wake up on Sunday morning feeling worse. And yep, I have strep. I got my z-pack and headed home. Feeling awful. We had planned to go to the Taylors to take them dinner and to take some pics of Corgan so we had to cancel that. Boo! AND I had to cancel my nephew's engagement session for today and I was so crushed about that! I did have ice cream for breakfast, but that only made me feel a little better.

So now we're spending a quiet Sunday at home. We missed Stake Conference and getting to hear from our new Stake President (yay for Pres Spitzer!) But it's been nice. I'm feeling a lot better, but am still really tired. It's all good though! I'm now backing up my entire photo archives (which will probably end up taking up 1/4 of my 500GB! Still so excited about my hard drive!
