Deals & Steals

My sister Mandie posted the other day about her love of resale shops. Well I'm going to post here about my love for Target. Completely obvious, I know, but it's still a love that's burning strong.

A lot of people complain about the fact that EVERYONE shops at Target for kids clothes so kids everywhere start looking the same 'cause they're all wearing the same clothes. I kind of pride myself on the fact that I do shop at these places (Target, Childrens Place, Old Navy, etc) and I think Ben stands out pretty well on his own. I don't think he looks like every other kid out there. Maybe he does. Tell me if I'm wrong!

So here where I work there's a Target and a Walmart in really close vicinity. For some reason EVERYONE shops at Walmart and Target gets neglected. For me this means major deals in the kids department! I was there during lunch today where I got Ben a pair of $4 jeans (sure they're Cherokee but he's in school all day and he needs cruddy jeans), a $5 striped shirt (not on sale mind) and a $2.40 green zipper football jacket (on clearance). He'll look totally cool in that whole outfit. Plus the shirt is short sleeved and I'm so hoping it gets warmer soon!

To accentuate my point, when I was there sometime last week I found a 3-piece set for only $6.40. Including a black corduroy blazer, a black and white striped button-up shirt and gray slacks. Now normally I hate these ensemble outfits. I think they're cheesy and make kids look like dorks. But I don't think Ben looked one bit of a dork in this on Sunday:

I'm totally looking forward to putting him in jeans and a tshirt with this jacket and taking some real pictures. It's way too insanely cute!

That was definitely not a cheesy outfit! I thought it was incredibly adorable! :)

Bryce asked me on Sunday, "Did you see Ben today?" I said I hadn't, and he shook his head in disbelief at how cute he was in that outfit.

It's true about a lot of kids wearing the same stuff. There were two or three of my boys' shirts that I saw on at least six different kids. So I'm more careful about what I buy from there now.

I LOVE Target! I bought myself 2 shirts there last week for about $3 each! They never seem to have Tommy's size, though. I did get Anna a super cute cardigan for less than $4. She wears it to school almost everyday! (her classroom is always cold and she's not allowed to wear her jacket in class)

I think he looks great. We love Target too.

Luckily for y'all, Ben looks adorable in everything! And how can you not love Target? Who doesn't like it, seriously, we need to talk.

Oh! I thought I commented on this, I guess not. I was going to say when I saw Ben on Sunday, I was like, Maria! He looks so cute, she just smiled and nodded, LOL!

And I have to admit to being one of those moms that buys the three piece sets everyonce in awhile, I think they are kinda cute in their dorkiness!
