Our 4th of July

My family has lots of traditions around holidays. This year we had so much fun! On the 3rd we went with part of my family to Concerts in the Gardens, an annual tradition, to watch their amazing fireworks display and hear the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Needless to say it was so. hot. And Ben really freaked out this year and had to go potty every 10 minutes. He clung to John during the fireworks and was finally okay with them about halfway through. At least he says he had fun! The concert was delayed because of technical difficulties so we got home REALLY late. And we had a photo shoot on Saturday morning to we were exhausted all day long!

Here are some pictures of Friday night's festivities. I really love taking pictures of fireworks. These aren't too shabby considering I was using 2-3 second exposures with no tripod!

My niece Anna just donated her hair to Locks of Love for the second time. Very cool!

John may kill me for posting this pic, but we rarely take pictures of ourselves and I rarely post the ones we do (myself included!) And I think he looks super good in this one!

More to come from our 4th of July Fireworks extravaganza at my mom's on Saturday night. John has declared the 4th HIS holiday, and he did not disappoint! ;)
