Friday Favs

If any of you are still reading my blog (which I hope you are!) I decided to do a real post for you today! With pictures!

I have been in a grateful mood lately. Partly because a few friends of mine threw us a baby shower and it was AWESOME. I love all my friends and my family and all the women in our ward. We are so blessed to know them! We were really spoiled with all of the cute stuff we got!

Also because I'm really grateful for John and how hard he works. Not just at his job (and he has to do some really unpleasant stuff) but at home, too. I am really lucky to have a handy husband. He's done a great job with the remodeling so far!

But mostly because I know most pregnant women get that way as they approach their due dates. I am definitely no exception! I'm 34 weeks today and am getting SUPER excited to meet our baby girl!

1. So my first Friday Fav is a gift given to me at the shower (the first few are). My friend Shannon (you can find her Etsy shop here) made this ADORABLE play quilt. I knew she was making one, and I had seen the fabric (which I LOVE because it's not pink!) but I had no idea it would be as cute as it is! The pictures really don't do it justice. It's full of detail, right down to the small hooks to put toys on. It's just so cute!

2. This outfit was probably the thing at the shower that got the biggest reaction. And for good reason! I LOVE this dress. And the shoes are just insanely cute. It's from Children's Place (and is 25% off right now, I saw it at the store yesterday!)

3. If you are a photo client of mine and get a disc with your images, you get it in one of these custom CD sleeves. I've been making them for a while and I still just love them. I'll be getting some nicer, fully custom ones for wedding clients this Spring so I'll post pictures of those as well. But for regular sessions these are the perfect little covers! This family will be getting their disc soon. We love these guys so much! Betsy has babysat for us during photo shoots so many times I have lost count! I've also recently made a few really cute 5x5 photo books that I've given as gifts that I will feature sometime as well!

4. I bought this purse/tote bag on impulse at Target a month or so ago. I almost took it back after my mom bought me another funky purse, but I just couldn't! This is by far my favorite purse I've had in a long time. The yellow is perfect for spring, but good for fall as well. And it's HUGE on the inside, so big in fact that I know I'll be able to throw a diaper/wipes case (I plan on buying one from my friend Amber's Etsy shop here) in there and a bottle in the side pocket and be set for going to the store! I can't find this on Target's website, but I know they have them. It also comes in green and there is a matching wallet for the green one that I've seen, too. :)

5. Of course Target is like my 2nd home. And they didn't disappoint me when I went there looking for Thank You cards. These are just perfect!

6. Our bath remodel is almost done! The ceiling still needs to be be painted and I need to mop the floor and a few other things. But I wanted to share my favorite part of the whole bathroom. THE FAUCET. This one was 60% off at Home Depot and I love it! The minute I saw it I grabbed it and we both agreed it was perfect. Sigh. Isn't it just so pretty? I'm seriously considering replacing all of our lights to these GE Reveal lights we used in there, to keep the colors from looking too yellow because it makes everything look so clean and pretty! And these lights photograph SO MUCH BETTER than those horrible energy efficient things!

7. Last but not least is Ben. I don't take very many pictures of him. My sister Mandie puts me to shame in the amount of pictures she takes of her kids! So I figured I need to get him up on the blog a lot now before he's overtaken with all of my newborn photo practice! He's been awesome lately. Besides a random tantrum when he's feeling neglected, and acting out for attention while I'm talking on the phone (sign of things to come probably), he's been great. He loves to eat out, watches Over the Hedge constantly (flavor of the week), refuses to wear shorts or sandals, loves going to Target, talks to baby Shelby in my tummy, needs another haircut, could eat an entire bag of Peanut Butter M&M Eggs if I would let him, and is obsessed with the GeoTrax my mom has at her house. I love this kid!

Everything is wonderful! I agree about the quilt--such amazing detail. And of course Ben is adorable. And John is wonderful. And I can't wait to see the new bathroom.
