Grateful Nov 5

On Saturday I was pretty grateful for weddings. Partly because we were shooting one that day, but also because I had been thinking about the couple whose wedding we shot. They aren't the typical couple that we've shot before and I was worried about how things would flow through the day and about how the final images would end up. Then I realized that these two people love each other enough to get married. That's a big deal! And they trusted ME enough to take pictures of their wedding, a day that the bride didn't think would even happen. See, they hired a wedding planner earlier in the year and that wedding planner ran of with all of the thousands of dollars he required in payment UP FRONT. When she was telling me these stories and how she was just grateful to have one vendor work out with no problems I was determined to make sure her wedding was wonderful, and thankfully it was! The venue was tough, the lighting conditions were tough but they had a great time, we had a great time, their wedding guests and family were warm and welcoming, our kids were safe tucked away in their beds at home, and everything worked out just like it should.
