Back at Work
I'm sure everyone is wondering how my going back to work has been. Well, everyone asks when I talk to them anyway so I thought I should update. Ben's being watched by a woman named Vida in my ward. She's very nice and we're still seeing how it goes to decide if we will stay with her or not. There are pluses and minuses of course. I'll write more about that in a minute. I'm adjusting well being back to work. I like being here, I feel very productive and as long as I don't think about the fact that we have to take Ben to a babysitter I'm okay. I'm only sad when I get home and he sleeps most of the evening. I'm taking the day off tomorrow since work is slow since I've been back and I can spend more time with Ben and John can get work done on his Jeep that he needs to do!
So about the babysitter. I had a really strange feeling when I picked Ben up on Monday afternoon (John was going to be working late so I got off early). I'm not sure what it was, so we're praying and thinking about if we're going to stay with Vida or not. She is very sweet and her son is only a year old. The only problems we see is that for one, they don't run their air conditioning. It gets SO hot in there and will probably be equally cold in the winter. Vida also doesn't have a drivers license yet. And when I picked him up on Monday, she had him in the bouncer which was on her bed. It's just a few things, but enough to make us question still using her. She's so cheap though. We have another friend in the ward we're going to talk to who also babysits, but takes care of other children too so we will see!
Listen to those feelings, Missy! A mother's intuition is a useful thing. Remember, if you ever need us to watch Ben, we'll all chip in and watch him on different days until you find a situation you're happy with!
I am with Mandie on this one. Thank you for the update... sorry to bug ya until we got it. :-) Anywho, I am still up for helping out with the watching. Just let me know. :-)
I am willing to help watch him as well! It may not be as convienient, but we're free and safe.
