Missy's Five Favorites Under Five
I liked what some of the girls on Mandie's blogs did with their favorites. Well I don't really have fancy favorites like that because we can't afford to buy expensive soap, etc. So I decided to do my own list of my 5 Favorites Under $5.
The first is my glittery eye shadow. Yeah, you could spend $18 on the Bare Minerals line from Sephora, but I get mine 5 for $25 at Grapevine Mills at the kiosk across from Forever 21. I love this stuff!
My second is Dreyer's Slow Churned Ice Cream, but it's got to be plain chocolate. Look for it on sale, 2 for $5 at Albertsons every few weeks. And they even have a line of American Idol ice cream! Mandie, you've gotta get some. :)
The third is CVS brand Pantene Color Care conditioner. It's usually $2.99 a bottle, works wonderfully and smells like watermelon bubble gum, yum!
The Fourth is Buttercream Vanilla home spray from Pier 1. Okay, so it's actually $6, but they go 20% off every month or two. It smells like you just baked a cake, but be warned, it might cause an attack of a sweet tooth..
The Fifth and last is Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner. It's super cheap at $2 and works on everything in your kitchen. I love this stuff!
OOooo... I LOVE that glittery eye shadow! I want. ^_^
Do they have other colors? Maybe in the blue/purple range?
Perfect for costuming -- or a fun night out!
*makes mental note to go to Grapevine mills sometime soon*
They only have EVERY COLOR IMAGINABLE! The place is called Mahya Cosmetics. They'll rub any color you want to see on your hand and try and make you buy 10 of them. They have lots of blues and purples too, you should definitely check them out! I wear the brownish/pinkish shades nearly every day. Okay, every day. But I swear it's not overbearing or childish!
That picture of the glittery eye shadow looks really cool! I have attempted to wear mine a few times, but I'm still looking forward to a real tutorial. I'm makeup challenged!
well I can't take credit for the photo, unfortunately! I google image'd glittery eye shadow till one came up that looked at all like the stuff I use! Bring yours on Sunday, Nikki and I'll give you a tutorial! :)
I can see brown and pink being fine to wear every day. ^_^ Blues and purples probably not so much. ^_^ Now that I think about it, I already have a blue glitter (sorta), but no purple, or aqua, or green.
Now I definitely need to go there!
Oh, hey! I just checked to see if they have a web site -- and they do.
http://www.mahya.com/
(They also have a TIPS section.)
Well look at that, they sure do have a website, cool! Thanks, Gabby! And you should totally check the place out. It's a good excuse to walk around Grapevine Mills, which is always a good time. (Unless it's a Saturday afternoon!)
Wow, Missy, I swear, I JUST checked your blog yesterday, and now you have 3 big posts! Great faves, although I would disagree with the Lysol. I use Fantastic which is even cheaper and works just as good!
I think you need to add Briolite to the list. It's under $5 if you don't count shipping...
I'll do Briolite in my "under $10" though I'm leary of giving away my sources!
Umm...what is Briolite?
