Confessions of a Chocoholic

So this Biggest Loser thing? It sucks! And it sucks because I have an unhealthy obsession with chocolate. Not only is it chocolate, but chocolate milk. And not just ANY chocolate milk, it has to be KROGER brand chocolate milk. Mandie and I discovered the greatness of it many moons ago when we were both single and she started eating chocolate again (or was it before she gave it up? I can't remember). Now I have converted John to the love of it and it's an indulgence we frequent too often for a healthy BMI. John finished off the last of the aforementioned liquid greatness last night before leaving me for a week for a rod and reel and free time in New Mexico with Mark. I am now afraid that the loneliness and quite in the after-Ben-is-asleep hours will result in too much free time to think about and eat chocolate. I was heading back to work from lunch with a size 0 co-worker after celebrating the departure of another co-worker we all love. On the way out one editor said they were going to Sprinkles for cupcakes and did we all want one? At first, I resisted. Then the afternoon urge for sweets won me over. Heck yes! Chocolate cupcake? Yes! Chocolate frosting? Yes! Chocolate sprinkles on top? Yes! The aforementioned adorable and super sweet co-worker had to be coerced into getting one. I felt so large and my lack of self-control was depressing. But alas, I ate my cupcake and was happy. Then I ate a cookie another co-worker gave me and decided I am out of control So I am publicly declaring that my chocolate consumption will now be cut drastically. Why? Because I have this awesome pair of Gap jeans in my closet that are two sizes too small and I feel I am doing them such a disservice not being out in the world. And the Biggest Loser is still on and I want the $100, dang it!

I understand the obsession, mine is baked goods! As I've told you before, if milk didn't exist, I'd be okay, because without milk, I wouldn't eat chocolate chip cookies. And I understand you wanting to fit into the jeans, but I want you to know I think you look great! I mean that, you look beautiful and thin enough.

Kroger brand chocolate milk is the best! I have to admit, I have a weakness for it too. It does not last long in our house.

Are you saying you're giving up chocolate??? Cause if you do, then I will too... Hey, I did it once (for like 4 years!) so I know (I mean, think) I can do it again...

I love me some chocolate. Because of the biggest looser competition I have tried really hard to keep chocolate out of the house. The other night I was craving it so bad that I had Kenny take me to McDonalds for a hot fudge sundea. Man was it good.
Good luck Missy. Just think how great those pants will look on you soon.

For the few of you who watch The Closer, she keeps a chocolate bar in her drawer and nibbles on it when murder investigations get a little tense. Everyone can probably identify with that. I beieve her real name is Kyra Segwick or such, winner of Emmys for this interesting show. Grandma Fowkes used to mix Hersheys chocolate, sugar and water into a little potion and hide in the pantry or wherever to eat it. She thought the boys did not know that but they obviously did or else how would I know. I support any and all who want to lay off awhile. I will not even make Fowkes cake just to show my support.

I could never ever ever give up chocolate!!! Although I did it for 3 months, along with all sweets and other yummies, and lost 22 pounds for a friends wedding in March! AND THEN I GOT PREGNANT!!!!!! Needless to say, I'm a cow now, but it'll be worth it!!!
