Things I learned this weekend:
1. Multiple birthday parties in one weekend is a lot of fun, but also leads to late naps and tired parents.
2. Arlington to Wylie, Wylie to McKinney then McKinney to Arlington equals approximately 115 miles.
3. Four adults with no self control can lead to a batch of chocolate chip cookies and stomachaches. Which sucks when you're supposed to be dieting.
4. People who sleep with their kids in the same room must be crazy. Maybe it's just Ben, but he's a rough sleeper!
5. Dieting also sucks when Costco cake is involved. Yum!
6. My sisters have impeccably clean houses. You guys make me look bad!
7. Cars don't run good when water leaks through the hoses. Cars need lots of things to run properly, including water!
8. Husbands who watch the Cowboys on an HDTV will want to immediately go buy an HDTV.
9. Ben is an extremely social kid and I am extremely grateful!
10. A long weekend with lots of friends and family is never a bad thing.
Well, Missy, anytime you want to feel better you can come visit my cluttered house! We also enjoyed visiting this weekend and eating yummy cake. And Ben is soooo cute! I can't believe how much he's grown.
Amen to all of the above. Except for the clean house thing. My house was tidy...but definitely not impeccably clean.
I think we have different definitions as to what "impeccably" means, Mandie!
Ahhhh...the Cowboys in Hi-Def is a great thing! I'm glad Hohn enjoyed our TV! When are you getting one? Also, my house is NOT impeccably clean. Clean, maybe, but not impeccably clean. It's one of my obsessions.
I meant John, not Hohn. Oops.
John, Hohn.... Green jacket, Gold jacket... its all good. Oh and about the TV... as soon as we can fit it in the tiny little nonexistent "budget" we have :)
That is Bryce's most common request, for an HDTV, and he doesn't even really watch football.
And Ben is such a sociable guy, you are right to be grateful! We're gonna miss him.
Thank you for coming to our party! We loved having you there, even though you did get your exercise chasing him around!! You guys are great!
