Update

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to thank all of you for your really sweet words and thoughts and prayers. I don't think I would have been as calm and okay with what has happened if not for all of you! I just wanted to send you a quick update on where things are at today. I'm going in at 2:30 today to interview for the paper's Art Director position they have open. I think it would be a good opportunity for me, but I'm not sure that it's something that I would want to do. In the meantime I'll be helping out the girls that layout the paper on Mondays and Tuesdays for a month, unless I've found another job or something else within the company works out. I have a couple of other leads on jobs from people I know within other companies and hopefully if nothing at D or the paper works out, I'd be able to work with someone I know. My heart breaks a little when I think about possibly leaving D. It was my first job out of college and I've made some great friends. I love the culture, the perks, the no vacation policy and all of the great people. They threw me the most outrageous baby shower I've ever seen and everyone was so generous to us. I've been there 4 years next month and it's hard to think of not going to work there every day. But ultimately I'm going to do whatever is best for our family in the short and long run. I'll try and keep you all posted on how things are going! I've forgotten how exhausting looking for a job can be. But I feel that after being in the professional world for over 6 years that I am pretty marketable and hopefully things will work themselves out soon!
