Trip to IKEA

I love Ikea, but we haven't been since I was pregnant. My sister, Melinda, went a few weeks ago because she had a coupon for $10 off $50, but couldn't find anything they wanted so she was super nice to mail it to me. At Ikea I've discovered that you want everything but don't always buy anything. But we've been wanting to get Ben a table and chairs for a long time. We left this morning and Ben slept on the way up since he woke up really early this morning. It only took us about half an hour going up both tollways which really surprised me! We had a really fun time. Ben is nearly tall enough for the play center (have to be 37") so it'll be fun to go back and let him play but he did great. We ate lunch at the cafeteria they have and it's always really good and pretty cheap (especially for kids!) I'm sure all of you know all of this because you've all probably gone more times than I have. We ended up getting a plain wood table and chairs that John is staining as we speak. I'll post pictures when it's done!

We're excited to go back (roadtrip, Mom?) and get Ben some things for Christmas. Here are some pictures of Ben playing with the roller toy we bought him inside the tent we got while we were there, too! He goes into maniacal laughter when we play peekaboo inside the tent. I'll have to get a video of it, it's hilarious!

I love Ikea! But we do a lot of window shopping when we go there, too. That tent is really cute, kids just love those things.

I could spend a lot of money at ikea--the tent is precious. It's fun when you find things that your kids really love!

FYI - Ben has to be potty-trained to play in the play area. I would go to IKEA more often, but it's not too fun with Tommy, and he can't go to the play place yet because he's not potty-trained! Grrr...it's not like I'm not trying!

LOL, i think we have the same kiddy table, but we weren't cool enough to think of staining it! I love IKEA too! Such a fun day trip, and the wiggles play center is down the road so Nat loves if we go up there!

See? DFW is smaller than everyone thinks!

I haven't been to IKEA is forever. I've never bought anything there. Maybe one day I'll save up some money and force myself to spend it there.

IKEA is fun, but always way too crowded when we can go. It's a good thing it's not closer, or it would rival Target as the place that sucks all my money away.
