Dear American Idol,

I come to you with a dilemma, one which you have precariously put me in. I know you did this on purpose. You know my resistance to your show is futile. No matter how much I hate Ryan Secrest, I just can't stay away.

You are #2 in my top favorite reality shows. Don't be sad. So You Think You Can Dance is #1 and you share a producer so your feelings really shouldn't be hurt. Biggest Loser comes in a close 3rd though. Keep that in mind because they can be a serious threat. Unfortunately for you, your fancy program directors have scheduled you during the same time slot as my beloved Biggest Loser. You have left me with a tough decision to make.

Now, keep some things in mind. You American Idol people like to string the audition phase abnormally long, almost to the point where just when I want to stop watching, you send all those little singers to Hollywood. Also keep in mind that this is Biggest Loser: Couple's Edition. I've only watched one episode of this one so far and so do not have the vested interest I may have had. Keep this in mind, too: I told my husband I would only watch the Dallas auditions that come on Wednesday night and not tonight. He does not share my love for you. But I'm afraid that I'll be unable to resist...

So I either watch AI tonight and miss Biggest Loser or I watch BL tonight and only the Dallas AI auditions tomorrow. You can tell I'm seriously conflicted!

Darn you, American Idol. How I hate to love you!

Love,
Missy

Missy! We have the same problem as y'all!! It's horrible. But I think we are going to have to go with Biggest Loser, we can't give up watching the couples and crying at the end of every show. I couldn't believe they would put me in this situation.

Whew! I was seriously thinking I was the only one!

I think I'm going to have to go back and forth between the two. But I'm always afraid I'm going to miss something! As long as I get to see the "how they look now" on Biggest Loser I think I'm good. That's my favorite part!

I have the same dilemma and it's all your fault, Missy! You know why? Cuz you turned me on to The Biggest Loser!!!! ;-) But my decision has been made. I have been watching this season since the 1st so I'm gonna go with the BL. Although, during commercials, I will definitely be switching to AI. AAHHH! The confusion!

I'm not a huge fan of American Idol, so this isn't a problem for me. Biggest Loser wins hands down. I will check in on AI during the commercials just to see some bad singers!

I only got to watch the last ten minutes of both show but I love how they ended the season kick off of AI with a mormon girl. Wahoo! She will win if she gets through... Mormons have the reality TV voting block. :-)

I thought it was cool, too, Randi! I know she had to have said something like that on purpose because we'd all recognize it! Didn't you think it was interesting that Simon said she was too "worthy?" Funny. She was good though! Not the best, but still!

And GEEZ, do they have to make Dallas look like cowboy hick town all the time??

Seriously, I only tune into American Idol when they've picked the top 12 guys and top 12 girls. That way I can miss Simon being abnormaly rude to the mutants. But I have a solution for you--get a DVR. Then you never have to listen to Ryan Seacrest again...just fast forward right through his retardedness. That's what we do!
