Poh-er
Yesterday we took two cars to church so John could go with the Deacons to round up fast offerings. Getting home after church is a tricky subject with Ben because he's notorious for falling asleep in the car and then not going down for a nap. So we do our best to keep him awake till we get home! I usually give him something random from my car to play with. Yesterday, it was a Harry Potter calendar. I asked if he wanted to look at it "okay," he says. He points to Harry on the front and says "ka!" Ka is his word for things he doesn't know how to say yet. So I said "Harry. That's Harry Potter." "Poh-er?" he responds. "Good, Ben! Potter!" "Poh-er, poh-er, poh-er!" Then he continued to look at the calendar pointing to Harry, saying "poh-er" and Rarr! for Voldemort. It's so funny. This now on his list of new words, which he's had one a day of for the past few days! So far we have heart, apple, Potter and kite!
It's strangely ironic, though, that my kid can say "Potter" before he can even say "Mommy!"
LOL, that's funny! I remember having to do various things to keep Madyson awake on the car ride home from Church. Sometimes, it really was a task!! In due time you'll hear "mommy" and you will so be on cloud nine!!!
I can so relate to you! Abby doesn't say mommy either.
Oh, and I still haven't read book 7 yet.
It's funny, if you ask Ben "Where's Mommy?" he points to me, but he doesn't say any words with Mmmm sounds except when you ask what a cow says.
WHAT??!! You haven't read Book 7 yet?
Do I need to come and babysit so you can get started? Because once you start you won't be able to put it down....
Neither have I! I can't tell you how many time I have tried to start but something always happens to prevent me from reading on...maybe that's what I need to be doing instead of DVR obsessing!!!
Those Ms are hard to say, Mom. I remember trying so hard to keep Ewan awake when we had 11-2 church. Ugh! It almost never worked. And we don't have to drive as far as ya'll do!
