Progress, Paranoia, Pride

I haven't had a lot to blog about lately. I've been completely consumed in the past 4 days with the new BISD website and we are so close to going live with it, possibly even today. I'm excited and nervous and anxious and TIRED! I think it will be worth it. The new site is going to be great, especially compared to the old one, so it's a big step forward at least! I'll give a full report when it's up and let you all take a look. But please, be kind! :)

Yesterday morning on my way to work I realized that I didn't have a contact in my left eye! I had trouble with it that morning and had to put it in twice. So once I got to work I looked up the doctor I went to at Sam's. It turns out that he has a clinic at another Sam's off of Bryant Irvin Rd in Fort Worth. It was either drive all the way over there during my lunch break or wait till today to get a new contact. I decided to make the drive. It was worth it because they gave me the replacement contact for free and I made it there and back in right at an hour! I was so happy. But now I'm paranoid that I'm missing a contact and I check my eyes in my compact all the time. That's probably going to get really old!

For the past few days Ben has really impressed me for some reason. I guess you don't realize how obedient a kid can be until you step back and think about it. He really has been great ever since he got over being sick and I feel really lucky to be his mom! He's been better at eating dinner (with last night being an exception), he's getting better at taking baths which he's hated doing for a while and he has even started kneeling with us when we say prayers at night and goes to sleep without a fight. Now I say this and he will turn into a monster tomorrow, but I really am going to appreciate it while it lasts. When I went into his room to check on him last night after he was asleep, he'd lined up all the toys and his sippy cup he likes to sleep with at the end of his bed. His motorcycle was even standing up. It was so cute, I should have taken a picture!

Anyway. So that has been my week so far. I'm exhausted and am so excited to have a nice break and get to go to the game tonight! I'll post pictures as soon as I can!

I can't wait to see the new site! Have fun at the game tonight! I would tell you to relax, but that's not going to happen at a play-off game! I hope Ben stays this way for a long time!

Can't wait to see the new website!

It's funny that you can't tell if your contact is in. If I lost one, I'd be half blind.
