Stars Game Recap

I know going to a hockey game isn't a life changing event by any means, and people go ALL the time. But we have never been, let alone been to the AAC so I wanted to document our first (and hopefully not last) trip to the AAC!

We rode the TRE from Irving to downtown and sat with BJ and Melissa Quinn on the train which was a lot of fun! The train left at 6:44 which put us there not too long after the game started. We had great seats in Section 101, Row R but had to walk nearly all the way around the arena to find our section (if we had just gone right instead of left it would have taken us 2 minutes!) My first impression on walking in is that it didn't feel as big as I'd imagined, but it is LOUD. So loud, in fact, my constantly ringing ears too a little while to adjust to the noise. We had a great time and thankfully the Stars won 3-1!

Man of the night, Marty Turco. He was awesome! It was only slightly annoying that people on the train back were chanting his name every 5 minutes!

There were so many cute little boys there! We'd love to take Ben sometime.

Me and John. Me without my glasses!

Who doesn't like Mike Modano?

The refs were questionable. The 6-yo boy behind us kept asking his dad why the refs were so blind. Cute!

Random crowd shot. Testing length of the zoom. Have I said how much I love zoom?

Marty! Marty! Dang! Sorry...

The VERY SERIOUS Stars Girls.

And I mean SERIOUS. I had to Photoshop out quite a few imperfections on this girl's face. She'll thank me later!

Dude, she's hot.

We got soaked on the way to the train station after the game but all in all it was a really fun time! THANK YOU Nikki for babysitting Ben for us and having to endure the sirens and trying to contain yourself! I'm very glad you didn't have to duck and cover!

As we were pulling onto our street John stopped the car jumped out and came up to my window with this!

That is one awesome frog!

Looks like you had a blast and from what I saw of it on TV, it looks like it was quite an exciting game and a really loud crowd! B

en was great! We had so much fun together, and he really was no trouble at all. I'm just glad the storm passed quickly--I'm not gonna lie, I was a little nervous there for a few minutes!

The AAC looks REALLY big when your at the very top...that's the only place I've ever sat.

Me, too, Juli! And you're right, when you're as high as you can get, the arena seems pretty big! But, the view's still pretty good up there at the top!

I LOVE the frog. You hardly ever see them anymore. He's very cute. Glad you had fun at the game, and love the no-glasses look!
