Ben is 2 today!

We don't have anything terribly special planned today since our big birthday party extravaganza for all of the grandchildren in our family is next week. But last night while we had dinner with my nephew Kile and his girlfriend Damaris, we go a little cookie and ice cream and thoroughly embarrassed him by singing Happy Birthday. He was so embarrassed he wouldn't eat any cookie! It was a lot of fun. Then tonight for dinner we're going to CiCi's with my mom where we'll give Ben his little cake!

I thought I'd give a few milestones Ben has crossed in the past couple of months! Yes, it's bragging a little, but I don't do that very often!

1. He's now using 3-word sentences like "Want more milk." and "There it is."
2. He knows so many words now it's hard to keep track. It's been a little bit of a slow road, but he's doing great on his speaking these days!
3. He's added in posessive when he talks about things that belong to us. Like he'll point to my computer and say "Mama's" or to the Wii and say "Daddy's." He also says "Mine's" but we'll work around that!
4. He can identify a few numbers and letters, such as 2, 3, M, S, T, and a couple of others on random occasions.
5. While he has tons of teeth, his canine and lower teeth are STILL coming in. I think it's taken about a year!
6. He loves to dance. One of his favorite songs is that "Shake It" song on the radio. He will wiggle away!
7. He will hug ANYONE if you ask. He loves hugs!
8. He still can't say his own name. Okay I take that back. He was pointing at the screen just now saying BOW-EN or something that sounds kind of like Ben!
9. He is still the finikiest eater ever. It's a surprise he weighs 35 pounds and is over 36" tall!
10. Like most boys, he is obsessed with trains! And still has an obsession for Cars. I doubt either will go away very soon.
