Things I am Thankful For

Last night at Thanksgiving dinner with my family John and I skipped out on the Thankful Circle since it was so hot inside and a little "there are too many people in here." So we sat outside for a few minutes in the cool weather. It reminded me of the Thanksgiving before we got married when I was so stressed out with school and planning and things had become a little overwhelming and we left and just drove out to Joe Pool Lake and sat and looked at the city lights. It was so serene. I will remember that forever and am thankful for those kinds of experiences. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the things I am thankful for this year. And yes it's another list. :)

1. John
John is the best husband ever and my best friend ever. Do you guys ever wonder what you would do without your husbands? I do, and I hope I never have to find out. Soo thankful he's mine.

2. My Mom
Some of you may already know my mom is having on going testing on a tumor in her lungs. We were happy to hear that her doctor could not get her biopsy to test positive for cancer, though it's not out of the realm of possibility. My mom is the heart and soul of our family, we are hoping and praying for the best for her.

3. Ben
I really don't have to say how much I love this kid. I just do!

4. Diet Coke
It it sad this is #4 on my list? I can't help it, the stuff makes me happy and keeps me sane.

5. Allstate Insurance
As long as it's taken to get the money for my car (they mailed the check on Monday, we should have it any day) they've been super cooperative. We seriously hope to go car shopping tomorrow!

6. New Sheets
We just bought new sheets with a gift card my mom gave me for my b-day. I can't tell you how perfect it is to climb into bed under crisp new sheets!

7. All of my extended family (especially my sisters!)
There may be like 50 of them (okay I exaggerate) but I love each and every one of them. We get together often and do things for each other and it's a pretty drama free. Last Friday about 12 of us we went out to dinner for my mom's birthday then Wednesday night we all went to Disney on Ice (27 of us!) This morning my sister watched Ben and her two grand kids so a big group of us to go to the shooting range. In December John and I are watching my sister Mandie's kids so she can go to NYC with her husband. Then in January she's taking Ben for a couple of days so we can celebrate our anniversary in style. See why I love my family so much?

8. The Church

I am so grateful for the knowledge we have of the restored Gospel. I love going to church. We love our callings.

9. My Camera
It may sound silly, but taking pictures is something I am growing to love love love. And not only is it taking pictures (and learning more and more and getting better and better) but it's meeting the best people! We have met such fun and cool people over the past few weeks. I am honored to be able to take your pictures!

10. Christmas

We are so excited for Christmas to come this year. If we have enough energy tonight we're going to put up all our decorations. We've already bought some presents for Ben (yeah yeah, we know we're late shoppers). I can't wait for all of the fun things we have planned and especially the Christmas music!

I was so sad to hear about your mom. I hope everything ends up ok! What kind of car are you going to get?
