To Pour Salt Over the Wound

1. I don't have to tell any of you I'm disappointed. I'm thinking of a future post of things to beware of in an Obama Presidency. Regardless of what some of you may think, it's not going to be an easy 4 years. My friend Regina said it pretty well, though!

2. We've all been sick and having strep is NEVER FUN. I don't think Ben actually got strep but he was sick last week. John came down with it yesterday but he's so much better today. Ahh the power of antibiotics. We're looking forward to getting out of the house soon and being able to do stuff together. I want my little family healthy!

3. This morning on my way to work I was hit by a lady who completely turned in front of me, as she was trying to go the opposite direction on the street I was on. I swerved out of the way but she still got my back passenger side wheel well. I got all her info (Ben was still with me), we are both okay (thank goodness) and chose not to call the police (though now I wish she would have gotten a ticket proving her stupidity). By the time I got a hold of her insurance company this afternoon she'd already filed a claim. Here's crossing my fingers she said she was at fault. She must be pretty sad about the scratch on the bumper of her Infinity FX 35. Now we just have to go through all of the hassle that comes from being in a car accident. Sigh. Thankfully John was home from work today and came down to assess the damage. I take it in tomorrow for an assessment and to give my statement of liability. SIGH.

4. And come to hear that one of my favorite authors, Michael Crichton, died. So sad!

5. But on the bright side we're all going to be healthy enough for our super busy weekend, filled mostly with taking pictures! I'm excited. John's going to help me Saturday afternoon and I'll definitely need it. TONS of pics to post on my photo blog this weekend so keep an eye out! Plus we get to spend time with friends this weekend and that will be great since we've been isolated from being sick!
