Using Complete Sentences
One thing we're really impressed with lately is Ben's ability to say complete thoughts. I know this isn't baffling for a 2 and a half year old by any means, but with a history of speech delay and hearing loss in our family we are so grateful Ben is doing so well! Here are some of his more recent sentences:
- Mommy, want a go home and play Wii with daddy tonight, okay? Much fun?
- Wow, Mommy, it so serene. (He seriously said this in the parking lot of Whole Foods last night. It was getting dark and he was looking over at the display of Christmas Trees up in the windows in the front of the store as I was putting him in the car. Serene? Seriously? I made him repeat it 3 times!)
- (after laughing hysterically when I picked him up yesterday) Josh made a mess at school today! (continued by more hysterical laughter)
- Mommy I hurt aself!
- Want a go to Abby and Carters house tonight, okay? Kelli and Baby Corgan's house? Madyson and Zayn's house? Grandpa Saunders again? Want a go Grandma's house and play play-doh, okay? (he loves telling me where we're going, especially if it's to see his friends, he also gets mad when we drive by a store like Target, Walmart or Sam's and insists on going there, too)
I'm impressed. None of my kids ever did that, and it took them well into year 3 before their sentences were that complete! We're hoping Eddie does better than his siblings! And he said serene? Seriously? Wow.
Wow, I'm impressed as well! We feel special that Ben asks about us! Let's make it happen soon! xoxo
I can totally hear his little voice saying those things! Bryce and I always talk about his cute little "Okay?"
So impressive! And I have been to NYC at Christmas time and it is the most fun!! Mandie is going to L-O-V-E it!!!
