Friday Five
I like lists, okay?
1. Last night we worked through the evening on Action Group stuff. My family runs this charity and we do toys and food for families at Christmas. This year we did 75 families and something like 200 kids? I can't remember the exact number. It's a lot. We get so many wonderful donations. People are so charitable and these kids get great stuff. We had a lot of fun working together. I was in quite a sassy mood and John had to keep me in line. Thank you John, for saving me from myself! I also forgot my camera. :( I often take for granted the amount of work that this whole event takes, and how much people need it. Anyone who would like to be involved next year just let us know!
2. Ben had his class party for school yesterday. I signed up to bring treat bags and we were all supposed to get a book for a gift exchange. I thought the party was today, not yesterday and left everything at home. John picked it up on his way back from his route and yet again saved me from myself! I will be forever grateful. Those kids LOVED their jingle bell necklaces!
3. Today is my last day of work for TWO WHOLE WEEKS! John gets all of next week off, too. SO super excited. Plus our anniversary is the first weekend in January so it's perfect timing since I don't have to take additional time off!
4. My secret santa revealed herself today, and it's a lady who sits like two desks from me! She's awesome! I got a really cute basket with individual popcorn tubs, lots of popcorn and peanut M&Ms and all of the Pixar Short Films on DVD. LOVE IT! We can't wait to watch the movie tonight!
5. Ben is so excited for Christmas. His favorite song to talk/sing is Santa Clause is Coming to Town. It's the cutest thing EVER. I'm trying to get it on video! I love Ben. I love his adorable little voice. I love how happy he is all the time. I love that he will hug ANYONE and is always so excited to do it!
The next few days will be filled with last minute presents, shipping out photo orders, and trying my best to relax! I hope everyone has a really safe and really great Christmas. We love all of our friends and family and can't wait to spend time with you over the next couple of weeks!
Great list! It sounds like you keep very busy. Have fun during your time off! And keep that camera handy!!! ;)
The charity sounds like an amazing thing to do together as a family. I hope you enjoy your time off!
