Things I Love

1. Snow Days
Because I got a day off on Wednesday (as did pretty much everyone else who works at a school district or has kids in school). It was so nice. Roads around us were drivable by 11am so we ventured out to Walmart. I mean, what else do you do on a chilly day off? There wasn't enough ice at our place to "play" in. We had fun nonetheless. Watching movies, playing trains, making dinner, eating ice cream. Good times.

2. John
Because he's working so hard this semester and taking 3 lab classes in one semester. I don't envy the Biology or Chemistry he's taking but he's having fun!

3. Professional Football
Because I love football. And no matter who's in the Super Bowl I like to watch it! My pick is for Arizona. I don't know much about either team, but I do know Arizona spent a gazillion dollars on their new stadium and if they win a super bowl when they've been such a terrible team maybe there is hope for the Cowboys! Who are you rooting for on Sunday?

4. Starbucks Hot Chocolate
Because it's just sooo good.

5. My Mom
Because she gives me free firewood and buys me and Ben dinner while John's in class. Ben loves Grandma Fowkes!

6. Fridays
Because I get off an hour early and get home in time to make dinner and pick up the house so we can have a more relaxing weekend together.

7. No plans for a Saturday
(Yet at least!) Because it means we can do anything we want!

8. American Idol
Because I've watched every single season and I plan to watch every season they ever have. I also love that they've taken out a lot of the crazy audition process they usually make us suffer through. I'm a sucker for the heartwarming stories, okay? I just am.

9. Music
Because I'm loving my Friday playlist. Including this song. And this. Oh and this (Not a mistake, I love this song! Video is lame.) And I really can't leave out this. Or this (name that movie). Geez, or this (one of my all-time fav songs, I just love it).

10. Santa Fe Soup
Mubeen made this for us once, with the greatest cornbread ever. I'm making it for dinner tonight, it's so good! (If you want the recipe, email me. I'm not sharing her secrets with the whole world). ;)
