Hey guess what? I'm pregnant!

So a couple months ago we were headed home from a friend's birthday party and John and I were discussing the fact that I knew for sure I wasn't pregnant, even though we'd been trying for 3 months. John told me he wanted me to go ahead and take the last pregnancy test we had just to find out. If we weren't pregnant this month, we were going to wait a few because of weddings we are shooting next year. Funny, I know. But when you have commitments and signed contracts and deposits you are obligated to your clients!

We got home, put Ben in the bath and I handed the test to John because I never look at them, I make him do it. I knew it wasn't positive. I JUST KNEW IT WASN'T. And John brings it to me and it said PREGNANT! I don't know why I was in such shock about it. But I was convinced that I wasn't so it took me a few days before I got used to the idea that it was actually positive.

So we're having another baby! We've had to work out insurance issues, deal with paying out of pocket for dr visits but have everything nearly figured out now. I go back and forth between bouts of really sick days and from being really excited, to thinking we're absolutely insane. ;) We've always said we have it good with Ben, he's so self-sufficient, he's potty-trained, he sleeps good, we have actual conversations with him. It's fun! But honestly we are really excited. I mean, we did get pregnant on purpose. When you go to the temple and the Lord tells you to have another baby NOW, well, you do it!

I have been really sick though. Way worse than I was with Ben. Up until about 9 weeks I had the regular morning queasiness then I woke up one Friday morning feeling perfectly fine. Up until about 2pm when I laid on the couch and swore I would never get back up. Now, at 11 1/2 weeks I can't eat anything without getting really sick, but if I eat nothing it's worlds worse. Such is life of a pregnant girl.

John is thoroughly convinced we are having a girl. He was also convinced that Ben was a boy so there might be something to that rumor. :) We have a girl name picked out already (those of you that know it please don't tell!) but we want to wait to find out what we're having before we say!

My official due date is April 24! Yay!
