The longest week of my life...

Well, that's what it felt like, at least! I've been very lucky to get on the good side of the guy at the paper. He's letting me help out the layout girls up there for additional pay until something either comes up in the company OR I find a job somewhere else. I interviewed for their Art Director position but didn't get it. Honestly? I didn't want it. It's a weekly paper and they only get TWO DAYS off at Christmas. I've been so spoiled by D and the week and a half to two weeks we usually get!

I also had an interview at a printer in Fort Worth for a designer position. It would be a step up for me position wise as a designer, but a huge step back in quality because the majority of what they produce is catalogs and horse magazines. I know, I know The Land Report was a land magazine, but it was a beautiful land magazine and a really high quality pub. Anyway. I have another prospect at JC Penny, but they can't post the job for another two weeks, but I might be able to freelance layouts for them in the meantime!

Despite having a really bad week we've had a good weekend. We went to the park on Saturday to get some exercise and that's always fun! Last night we went to Brent and Nicole Spitzer's wedding and it was quite an event! It was at the Spitzer's house and they had a tent set up in the backyard and it was fully catered. Ben didn't hold up for as long as we would have liked, but it was a lot of fun getting to see people we don't get to see very often. And Nicole looked beautiful!

I'll keep everyone posted on how this week goes, job-wise. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers! And have a great week!

Ugg, what a head ache. On the flip side, it sounds like you have had some pretty good leads. I am sure something will take. Best of luck with the job hunt. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Hope things go well this week. You were my fasting project yesterday. You & John will both be in our prayers this week.

Good luck with the continued job search!

I'm glad to hear that Brent and Nicole's wedding was beautiful. Josh and I had been planning on attending, but our nephew ended up getting baptized that night.
