Progress!
I posted about switching from sippy cups to straw cups a few weeks ago. We were concerned about Ben not saying frontal mouth words like B, M, and P words so figured it wouldn't hurt! Now, I don't know if it's only because of the change of cups or because he's getting older, but we have already seen a huge difference in his speech! In the car on the way to Haley's house this morning Ben actually even said Mama! It's been an issue with me for some reason because he says so many words but has never said mama before (and he can say Daddy not just dada anymore)! I'm not 100% certain that's what he meant, but it's still progress! He's starting to use two and three word phrases and we're excited to see how well he's doing. John's going to practice with Ben saying mama today. I am seriously just excited about that!
Aw, and you have every right to be excited about that! I know "Daddy" is easier for them to say than "Mommy" but we deserve to hear it first dang it! haha!
Stevie said Dada first too, the little stinker! But when he finally did say it...MELTED HEART! ...Maybe we should try that sippy cup thing.

Wahoo! That is great! Mary does not say Mommy... just mama.... over and over and over again. Not so much on the exciting side for me anymore. But it is still really cool when they know who you are and can verbally acknowledge that!
That's very exciting that he's talking more (although, a few weeks from now you might not think so). He's a cutie! I'm more and more curious about the sippy cup thing now.
I love hearing "mama." So sweet. Ben will be talking your ear off in no time. You two can have heartfelt conversations over coffee and cheesecake. Oh, wait, that's the Golden Girls...
