Way Back Wednesday

Can you tell I'm excited still that I have a scanner? Oh yeah. Way excited! And thanks to John for scanning all of these for me!

The first picture I bring you is from my first birthday. I'm pretty sure it's my first birthday. Maybe my second? I didn't really have any hair until I was about 3....so it's hard to tell. I'll have to ask my mom! I think that's my Aunt Connie's arm holding up my cake. But I really should get all these questions answered from my mom before posting...

You can't live in Texas for your entire life and not have a gazillion pictures in the bluebonnets. If any of you transplants aren't taking pictures of your kids in them you totally have to! It's such a Texas tradition. :) This is me (right) and my sisters Melinda (left) and Mandie (middle).

This picture was taken one Easter in one of the many Easter dresses my mom made us. When we got older we got to help pick out our fabric and pattern and we all loved it. I have such a cheesy grin in this photo it totally reminds me of Ben! He definitely has my face shape, cheeks and chin and John's eyes. I'm trying to get a couple of me and John to put up of comparisons of us when we were all around the same age.

And last but not least we have John! I absolutely do not even think this looks like John at all! I think it might be 5th grade? John should know. He often comments on his pictures from when he was young and chubby that he looks more like a fat Mexican woman. I think this picture is so funny. I'm sure John hates it, but hey, he's the one who scanned it!

No way! That can't be John! He DOES look like a fat Mexican woman! Too funny!

Those pictures are classic. It appears that puberty was good to John.

HAHAHA!!! Classic pics! But very cute and wonderful memories!

Love that picture of John!! Hey, you have to have a sense of humor about it, and I know John does. Too cute!

John, I'm glad you've since adopted a different style of glasses and begun wearing jeans (no offense, but those shorts are pretty bad). Other than the atrocious style, though, you just look like an awkward teenager, which is what you were. Way to keep it real. Now go scan some pictures of awkward teenage Missy.

I remember this John! Still a great guy :)

John, you crack me up.
And those are SUCH cute pictures Missy! I love the blue-bonnet pics! Hopefully we will get around to taking a pic like that this year.

Cute pictures. And John's "fat Mexican woman" gave me my chuckle for the day.

Oh my gosh, I am rolling around laughing right now, that pic is too funny, made even more funny by the label given to it! At least John is a testament that we CAN grow out of our awkward adolesence! Cute pics all around!

John's picture is so funny! I didn't even realize it was him until I read what you wrote. And I saw his Pro Spirit shirt & remembered John used to cheer too! haha. Sorry John:(

I believe that birthday picture is from your first birthday but I am not sure about the arm. I probably took the picture, so I will have to conduct an investigation on who is connected to the appendage.

I am sure glad John grew up and matured into such a good looking guy.
