Friday Five
1. Went to see Ben Folds with Nikki last night. One word: AMAZING! It was at a small theater in Dallas with General Admission seating and well, no seats. So we had to stand the whole time and fight the massive amount of people over 6ft around us, but all in all it was amazing. He played over 2 hours and did two encores! I didn't get to sleep till after 1am. Totally worth it. If you don't know who Ben Folds is, see this, this, and this. And one of my new favorites here. Though most of you will know him from this song. We had such a great time! (And thanks to John for letting me get to hang out with one of my longest and dearest friends, love you Nikki!!)
2. This morning we all woke up late. Late for us is after 6:30am! John was so nice to stay and help get Ben ready so I could get ready and we wouldn't be too late. John leaves. I get Ben in the car, realize I forgot his sippy cup and had to run back in the house then realizing halfway down the stairs I forgot my cash to buy his lunch since I didn't have time to make it (okay I forgot). I pulled up to school and realize I forgot to bring diapers and he needed them at school. So I take him in, realize it's also Tumble Bus day (will have to go get cash later this morning) and drop him off. I run to Walmart to buy diapers and a sharpee (since you have to put their names on everything!) I made it to work by 8:30, only 45 minutes late.... I don't do well on 4 hours of sleep obviously!
3. We're getting our family pictures taken tonight. Have I mentioned that before? ;)
4. Tomorrow we're being bad and skipping our ward party. We had a better offer and weren't too thrilled with the idea of THREE wards at one trunk or treat anyway. Sounds like a mad house. So we're opting for Boo at the Zoo with the Heatons instead. That won't be a mad house at all! Ben's totally excited, but he still needs a costume....
5. When I got home last night John gave me a surprise, COLDPLAY TICKETS! AHHH! They're the best seats we could get without spending a fortune and I am SO. EXCITED. Being at the concert last night really reminded me how much I love going to concerts. I've been to so many, why stop now? Thank you John, I love you!
Thanks for coming to concert with me, Missy! It was a BLAST and so amazing! I was only 15 minutes late for work, so not too bad, and I think I got about 5 hours of sleep last night. But, it was worth it!
That is so awesome that you'll get to go see Coldplay in concert. I LOVE concerts, which I was reminded of last night. Something about a live show that just makes me happy. I'm sure you guys will have a great time! What a good husband you have!
How awesome that you are going to Coldplay! That will be such a great concert! And we will miss you at the ward party, though I have to agree it sounds like it is going to be a bit wild. I hope it is at least organized chaos. You'll have to let us know how Boo at the Zoo is, we are going to go over there monday night.
