Tuesday Ten

It's been a crazy busy couple of weeks for us. With figuring out my car stuff to the outrageous amounts of pictures I've been taking lately and to some new projects I have going on, it's been crazy to say the least! And the most exciting thing is tomorrow is my birthday and we're going to see Coldplay!! I couldn't be more excited. Here are some fun things that have been going on lately. Plus I just like lists, okay?

1. Saturday was a long, cold, fun day. My wonderful sister Ginny let me come and steal her car so that the insurance company doesn't kill me for driving mine. She's driving her daughter Julie's car (Julie is at the MTC preparing to go to Japan on her mission!) Thank you so much Ginny! Later that day we drove up to McKinney to take pictures of my sister Melinda's family and 3 other families. It was sooo cold and they were all were such troopers! It was fun and we got to meet some really cool people (one of my favorite things about taking pictures! Shout out to Lori and Janette!) My sister, Melinda, took Ben home with her and he had SO much fun playing at her house with Tommy. Thank you Melinda! I have wonderful sisters. :)

2. Sunday John got a new calling at church. He's the Assistant Executive Secretary and is really looking forward to his new calling. I had an overwhelming feeling after he got set apart that it was definitely an inspired call. I know John will do a really wonderful job. He will basically be Brother Evan's secretary and we're both excited to get to know him and his family better. Sunday evening we had a big family dinner and the missionaries were there as well. John and all of the guys gave blessings to our nephew Stevie and my mom. I am so grateful for a husband who is a worthy priesthood holder. I love my family!

3. I have been eating more horribly in the last 2 weeks than I have in a really long time. I got on the scale Monday morning and had only gained one pound since we got our family pics taken. That is a miracle, I swear! Speaking of family pictures, we got all of ours back from Ambyr last week. We love them! Can't WAIT to get started on designing our Christmas cards!

4. Am I the only one who is amazed at how fast the end of this year is going? It's seriously scaring me! We have two goals with Ben to achive by the end of the year: be in pull-ups by the end of Thanksgiving weekend and be potty trained by Christmas. We can do it!

5. My birthday is tomorrow. I'll be 28.

6. John's birthday is in a couple of weeks. He likes older women. :)

7. Paperwork is being signed and mailed around between us and the insurance company. They should be coming to get my car by the end of the week. Hopefully we'll have a check in hand by Thanksgiving. I'm not putting any bets on it though!

8. Ben has become the most talkative, hilarious and actually pretty well-behaved kid. He talks non-stop (which can be really annoying when I'm on the phone) and has been responding so well to our attempts at discipline. We love him so much, I'm pretty sure this is my favorite age. Now we have to be super careful because he repeats everything we say and in the same tones as well. Last night at Chipotle I go "What-ever" to be echoed by Ben's "What-ever!!!" I guess you just had to be there. We went to Target afterwards so I could pick out a new shirt to wear to the concert. We had so much fun shopping we stayed till 8:15. Ben woke up at 5:45 this morning. Oh well!

9. Next week will be such a fun week. I'm off all week and John's taking an extra couple of days. Plus my mom bought tickets for our entire family to go see this. My mom loves doing stuff like that for all of us. And Nemo last year was a blast and so was Disney Princess' with all the girls earlier in the year! My mom is the best.

10. I just realized I never told you guys my dream car. I think it would be a Masserati Quadroporte. Because it just looks cool, would still fit a car seat and only retails at about $75K. And because it's the only interesting one I could find when I google'd "dream car." :)
